I'm a terrible blogger, I have admitted that before, but sometime life keeps us busy - hopefully in a good way :-)
And I have been busy - in a good way :-)

We had Independence day and I made this cake

I loved making it. It was fun and easy!!
It was a simple white pound cake (http://www.playinghouseblog.com/2010/02/perfect-pound-cake.html) which I divided into 2 batches - 1 remained white the other I added blue food coloring.

I also made this - with the Hershey's Perfectly Chocolate Cake (http://www.hersheys.com/recipes/recipes/detail.asp?id=184) and decorated it wit \h a dove of peace (AMEN). The frostinf is whipped ganache.

Furthermore we have these amazing!! apple bars - they are seriously the best I have ever made
