For my Dear Friend Olivia...

Cauliflower Salad:
This is my quarter salad - as the sauce is made of quarter cups....
Very Easy. Very tasty.

Cut up one cauliflower into bite size flowers.
In a sauce pan bring to a boil :
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup soy sauce

Put over the cauliflower and add sunflower seeds, pignolli nuts, pumpin nuts and sesame seed.

Serve at room temp.

Shalom Dorit,

I feel honored that you put this salad recipe up extra for me. I copied and pasted it in my self-made cookbook.I will prepare the cauliflower salad on the weekend.

What are pignolli nuts? If I cannot find them I could probably replace them by other nuts, for example walnuts of which we got plenty over here.

Thank you for the delicious recipe.
The background of honey-colored yellow looks nice, too. You have got a lovely selection of table-cloths, Dorit.

It is my pleasure!
I have more recipes that I will post for you - all very very easy.
I am not sure that walnuts will go with this specific recipe. Pignolli nuts are pine nuts. You can just omit them. But due use the sesame seeds.Brown them a few minutes on a skillet to accent their taste.

I can find sesame and sunflower seeds, but no pine seeds over here. So I will follow your advice and just leave them out (instead of taking walnuts). Thank you.
